I guess fish is a recurring theme on the posts right now as we have finally entered the warm time of year . I had an absolutely great time as the weigh master for the second annual "Apalachicola Fins and Family " fishing tournament yesterday ....(Read more in Marc's Blog.)

After the hustle and bustle of a busy weekend, I got to go boating on Sun. My friend Brad and I took his 20 foot bay boat out and were thinking the weather might allow us a trip out to the nearshore reefs [12-15 miles] . We loaded everything from six pound Pompano rigs to medium spinning gear to off shore bottom winches , a footlong subway sandwich, beverages and sunscreen, some squid and assorted minnows , and off we went ....(Read more in Marc's Blog.)

This is the weather window for fishing and cruising in comfort . The temps have reached the mid 70s and the persistent winds seem to have calmed down .
